Errie Reminder of Feb. 5th

If this photo doesn't remind you of the Columbia Gulf fire on Feb. 5th, I don't know what will. This fire took place in Kansas City, MO last night after lightning struck a petroleum gas tank at around 7:30 p.m. . The image is from kansascity.com . The flames could have been seen from miles away and two employees were at the plant when the fire erupted, but where uninjured. WOW! I remember seeing the glow from here on our Cookeville WEBCAM.....

Really, that must have been scary. The blast was only 7-8 miles from my house and when the storm hit, the only thing you could hear was a distant roar of the fire as well as the sound of the infamous freight train noise.I guess that's why they call it the cone of silence.
